Playa Muertos is a virgin destination of great beauty. It is located on the Nicoya Peninsula, between Paquera and Tambor, practically behind the Pochote mangrove.

It is known for its white sand, crystal clear and turquoise water, in addition to being a spot surrounded by palm trees and trees that provide perfect shade. Its waves are moderate, so if you want to swim all day, you can do so.

You have two ways to get to this wonderful beach, but before giving you the two routes it is important that you know how to get to the Nicoya Peninsula, you can do it by car (it will take approximately 4 hours) or use the ferry (it can take approximately of an hour and a half) to save you the “drive”, if you want to know the price and schedules go here: ferry information

Once you arrive at the Nicoya Peninsula, you can get to the beach by boat or boat from Tambor or Pochote. We do not know exactly how frequently this service is provided, so we recommend that as soon as you arrive at the site, you search for information the locals. There is also the option of taking a kayak tour for 20 to 30 minutes. Always follow the tour operator’s recommendations regarding weather and sea conditions.
